About United SHE Stands

We're Ashley & Sara, two Ohioans here to help everyday Americans get involved in politics. We’re building a community that empowers women to engage in politics through education and action so we can drive change. We want to ensure we, as humans, can have difficult conversations and we, as women, are educated, empowered, and involved to solve our nation’s greatest problems.

About Ashley

Ashley has always had a passion for leadership and politics. She has undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Computer Science and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. Although she has spent her career as an IT Professional in the data and analytics space, she knew she wanted to get involved and make an impact politically as well.

Ashley lives in Northeast Ohio with her husband, four-year-old son, and their cat. When Ashley’s not engaging civically, she is spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, or traveling.

About Sara

Sara has a passion for kindness and lifting others up. She has a degree in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. While Sara was not interested in politics at all until around 2020, she knew even before starting her IT career that she wanted to help others more directly and make a positive impact on the world around her. She didn't find anything that could scratch that itch until she was approached about starting the United SHE Stands podcast to educate and inspire women to get more involved in politics.

Sara lives in Columbus, Ohio and loves to travel, try local craft breweries, stay active outside, and get lost in good books.
